While painting this piece, I found myself talking with a dear friend about her beautiful mum, Kayleen. We spoke about grief, legacy, and how much she adored butterflies. The painting listened—and transformed.
"Kayleen Dreaming" became a vision of soft release and vivid remembrance. A faceless woman walks through fields of light, her thoughts dissolving into butterflies—symbols of spirit, freedom, and eternal love.
This piece now lives on my friend’s wall, filling her home with the warmth of her mother’s memory.
